Our Venue

Weddings at Murray Gums Estate

Murray Gums Estate is not only a working vineyard and olive grove, but for a limited amount of weekends per year we open our home for some beautiful couples to tie the knot on the banks of the Murray River.

If you are one of the lucky couples, we give you and your guests exclusive use of our 5 acre area down by the river where you can create almost any setting from a blank canvas.

You can create your own Dream day by selecting anything you want, from a Marquee to Styling, Catering, Drinks, and Entertainment, through either your own suppliers, our recommended partners, or even select our Wedding Consulting option and we’ll do (most of) it for you!

Ceremony

Our 5-acre riverfront area is the perfect location along the Murray River with a 250m clear view of the water, pristine lush green grass, and plenty of gorgeous spots for photo opportunities. This boutique location really is like no other!

What’s included:

  • Exclusive use of the venue and surrounding vineyard (excluding the Tasting Room) for up to 3 hours
  • Access the day prior to your wedding for up to 1 hour for a rehearsal
  • Waste bin provided
  • Clean up post-ceremony
  • Exclusive modern country style toilets
  • Personalised assistance with planning the finer details of your upcoming wedding ceremony
  • Managing of guests arriving
  • Meet and greet with all vendors for the ceremony set up

Excludes:

  • Wet weather option
  • Waiting/Serving of guests
  • Food and drinks
  • All external vendors and hire equipment

Ceremony & Reception

At Murray Gums Estate you can choose to create either a relaxed cocktail party vibe or a full sit-down reception situated on the lush grass right across from where you just got hitched for up to 150 guests!

To take the stress away from you on the biggest day of your life, you will also be accompanied by our On-Day Murray Gums Event Coordinator. Where we will ensure everything goes to plan from bump in, to the big day as well as bump out of all vendors.

What’s included:

  • Stunning ceremony location right along the riverbank where your guests can wander and enjoy the river views
  • Exclusive use of the venue and surrounding vineyard (excluding the Tasting Room) for up to 8 hours
  • Access the day prior to your wedding for up to 1.5 hours for a rehearsal and walkthrough of finalising any last details with the On-Day Coordinator
  • Dark Maple 5 x 5m Dance Floor Hire including set up & dismantle
  • Waste bin provided
  • Exclusive modern country style toilets
  • Personalised assistance with planning the finer details of your upcoming wedding ceremony & reception
  • Managing of guests arriving
  • Styling set up for a maximum of 4 hours
  • Meet and greet with all vendors for ceremony & reception bump in and out (over 3 days only)
  • On-Day Coordinating of wedding day timetable from start to finish with additional staff if required to ensure the whole wedding runs smoothly
  • Use of catering kitchen:

              - 6x6 enclosed flat deck marquee roof with concrete floor
              - Double under bench fridges
              - Fans/power
              - Stainless steel prep benches/tables
              - Double sink with hot/cold water
              - Pull down curtains
              - Mozzie zapper
              - Servery to plate up
              - Note all other requirements for the caterer are the responsibility of the couple/caterer.

Saying “I do” at Murray Gums Estate will be a spectacular night that you will never forget. Having experienced help in the lead up to the big day to ensure every little thing is thought of could be the best decision, well, the second-best decision you make.

We don’t want you feeling overwhelmed by the thought of planning your wedding from scratch so why not let us help organise the main suppliers and inclusions that you would usually get when hiring a proper wedding venue.

We will liaise directly with the main suppliers to make your day possible at Murray Gums Estate by sourcing quotes for ceremony furniture, marquee hire, reception furniture, guest transport, and catering with our truly amazing partners.

What’s included:

  • Multiple quotes provided for vendors noted above based on the size of the wedding and chosen style
  • Personalised assistance with planning the finer details of your upcoming wedding ceremony & reception by the On-Day Coordinator
  • Continued communication directly by us and your chosen vendors
  • Meet and greet for bump in and bump out with all vendors
  • Frequent contact with the Bride & Groom to assist with any questions throughout the planning phase
  • A meeting 2 months and 1 month prior to the wedding either onsite or via zoom

Excludes:

  • Full wedding planning
  • Any invoices or deposits to be paid for chosen vendors
  • Supply of Drinks
  • All other vendors (photographer, videographer, entertainment, florist, cake maker, cars, accommodation, hair & make-up stylists and celebrant) - We can assist in providing our suggested partners.

 

Wedding Consulting cost from $120 per hour inc GST

THE TASTING ROOM

Right after you say ‘I Do’ with your Bridal Party what better way to recap the ceremony that was together in our Tasting Room!

We will serve your wedding food and drinks while you enjoy the private spot over the next hour getting Bridal Party photos with your photographer, particularly among the vines before your big entrance back down with the Wedding party!

THE BRIDAL SUITE

Why not wake up where you had the best night of your life and stay at our Murray Gums Bridal Suite right on the Murray River!

Suite cost $275 (inc GST)

OTHER FUNCTIONS

Tasting room available for private functions 
  • $200 per hour - 3hr min if during the day or a smaller work function
  • $2000 room hire only for night time events
  • Maximum 50 people
  • Price includes set up and clean up of room
  • BYO drinks
  • Minimum of 1 x bar staff required - $60 per hour
