Murray Gums has long been the vision of Dale and Angela Bowles who after years of spending family holidays in the area, decided to make it their home and relocated to Echuca Moama permanently from Melbourne after building their new home on the property in 2014.
After purchasing the property in 2012 the wine and olive oil journey began with careful planning and a vision to produce high quality local produce. The Perriccota Wine region is fast becoming recognised for being a valuable wine producing district.
After four years of nurturing the existing vines and planting olive trees around the perimeter of the property, Murray Gums Estate produced its first Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon vintages in 2016 as well as their Frantoio Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
That was the start for this boutique winery and olive oil producer who believe in not taking any short cuts, from hand picking of fruit to employing low impact sustainable farming practices.
Between the upkeep of the vineyard, producing wine and olive oil, and hosting functions on the property both Dale and Angela like to enjoy the space most with their family and friends.
